Strategies
of Protest
It is the duty of all freedom loving people to protest all forms of injustice, not only
injustice against oneself, but all injustice. People who recognize the injustice yet say
nothing against it give their tacit approval and support for it. To protest injustice is
not limited to merely speaking against it, protest is a multi-facetted action, that begins
with speech that exposes and denounces the injustice and is supported with resistance to
it, this resistance must take the form of as many different actions as possible that is
justified and strategically sound.
We must hold marches, rallies and sit-ins at places that are strategically
important and against those who have committed or supported violations of individual
rights or have demonstrated a contempt for human rights. We must organize massive
worldwide demonstrations against the compressors of humanity, a global movement in support
of full human rights for all people to live in freedom.
Media
Protest begins by speaking against the injustice by using every available media
attainable. We must seek media attention on radio and television by getting our people on
talk shows, the news, in entertainment, and documentaries. Most important is the effort to
get our people permanently into different types of media where they will be able to make
decisions over what gets on the air.
We must protest media propaganda and anti-social content by writing letters,
protesting in front of the media offices and TV studios.
Political
Protesters should write letters to newspapers, they should call, send e-mail,
write letters and try to meet with politicians to protest unjust actions by the state and
suggest positive actions to correct them. We are eager to lend our support and work with
anyone, even politicians, to enact better policies to correct social problems.
The Libercratic Party is our universal political organization which is
committed to infiltrating all other political organizations and taking them over
completely and using that power to institute universal Libercratic government.
A primary strategy of political protest is our goal of recruiting a large
organization of protesters who will volunteer to work regularly protesting specific sites.
We want to have groups of protesters at the sites regularly every day during business
hours. Specifically we want people protesting every single building and other site where
the political cartel operates. We want people protesting at the White House and Capital
Building every single day they are in session or that the president is in residence and
eventually to protest every single day, during daylight hours and at night when Congress
is in session. We want to protest every federal building in Washington, to protest the
Supreme Court when in section, to protest the IRS, FBI, CIA, all of the various
departments and other Federal agencies and to protest the Pentagon constantly. We want
protesters in front of every single state legislature, governor's mansion, state Supreme
Court, at parliament buildings around the world, prime minister's office or residence and
other political entities worldwide, we must protest the U.N., NATO, European Union offices
and military bases around the world, and protest local institutions; mayor's offices,
local assemblies, school boards and local police stations. If it is operated by the state
we must protested it constantly by stating our case, condemning them for their injustices
and clearly explaining our intentions and willingness to work with anyone who is willing
to work to correct the injustices of the state and secure human rights for all. We must be
visible, in their face, demanding to be heard by the politicians and to be covered by the
media to get our message out to the world.
Businesses
Investment and Boycott
We must invest and do business with a concern for social responsibility, we
must invest and do business only with those companies and other businesses which are
inclined toward support of Libercratic principles. Most of all we must invest with true
Libercratic companies and give our support to Libercratic businesses, but we must use our
money to influence other businesses by making them compete for our support and by doing so
encouraging them to become more Libercratic.
We must make it very clear that if a business wants our money, they must be
willing in good faith to take positive action toward Libercratic policies and support
Libertocracy as much as they can.
We will further clarify our intent to support those businesses which are fully Libercratic
and boycott those which are not so that a Libercratic business in a local area or a
company who is the only Libercratic supplier of a product will get our total support while
we boycott all others.
We must develop an investment strategy that concentrates our capital on
Libercratic companies while developing an investment network that seeks to bring in other
capital to invest in Libercratic companies. While this is of vital importance, it is also
important to develop an investment strategy for taking over large and important
corporations which are either necessary because of economic realities or are simply so
large that our best strategy is to take them over by buying up their shares than it would
be to boycott them into submission.
Our boycott of a giant corporation may have only negligible effects, yet by
building any investment network we may be able to gain enough shares to influence
corporate policy. Besides boycotting companies who are enemies of individual rights we
must actively and visibly protest them at their corporate offices, in front of their
stores, on the web and publicize our protest in the media, to ridicule them and make them
look bad by exposing their policies and trying to convince people to stop doing business
with them until they at least demonstrate a good faith willingness to begin improving
their policies so as to better serve individual rights.
Networking
We must build a network of people, organizations and businesses who are
supportive of Libercratic principles and goals, we must use that network for political
power to influence policies and as an economic force to put pressure on businesses to
become more Libercratic. And we must use our network to lead other political organizations
to be supportive of Libercratic principles by forming coalitions and reconciling any
differences between us while never compromising our principles. It is in our interest to
compromise when it comes to strategies in order to achieve gradual gains in power and
changes in policy that begin partially achieving our goals, while still pursuing the
ultimate goals. No one should expect to instantly transform the world, every goal must be
achieved through a gradual step by step process.
Organizations
We must communicate with and work with as many different organizations who
are concerned about the human condition as possible and encourage them to seek Libercratic
solutions to problems. The Human Liberation Alliance is our most important Libercratic
non-profit organization which must be the leader in forming a greater alliance with the
largest possible diversity of organizations and leading the protest movements and their
strategy. We will lend our support and resources and are willing to work with others to
achieve positive goals. Just as we recruit the support of outside organizations, we must
infiltrate those organizations and influence their policies as well to turn them toward
Libercratic thinking.
Letter Writing Campaigns
People must speak out against injustice, when you see or read something
outrageous in the media or are upset by political policies or proposals, write letters
(postal, e-mail, fax), to the source of the problem and e-mail your comrades to do the
same.
We need to organize volunteers who will gather and disseminate information
about subjects which are in need of people writing letters to complain or offer
suggestions and coordinate actions. In this way we can bombard the offices of politicians
and the media with demands for them to change their policies.
Marches & Rallies
Organizing large marches and rallies are among the best ways to make people, and
especially the media, take notice, it also draws many people into the movement and directs
collective action under a structured leadership that translates into other benefits.
